The Gallery
Art and Atmosphere
Located in the historic Fordham Building at the corner of Bay and Carteret Streets in downtown Beaufort, SC, the gallery resides within old brick walls, layered painted floors, and art deco-style tin ceilings. The space is rich with character and charm, and we aim to build on that spirit as we share it with the Beaufort Wine Bar. With a curated collection of high-end fine art photography and a welcoming wine bar, we look forward to hosting visitors, sparking conversation, and sharing stories in a space as memorable as the work it holds.

Limited Edition means that only a set number of prints are produced for each photograph. Each image is released in specific size-based editions, thoughtfully determined by Joe at the time of release. Every piece is crafted with exceptional care to ensure both quality and exclusivity. Once an edition sells out, the image is retired and no additional prints will ever be made.
Due to our ability to customize Joe’s photographs to our client’s space, our standard sizes, plus any custom sized photos, are assigned an edition number for their art. This edition number will go towards the total number of editions created. The clients will receive their signed limited edition with Joe’s signature, their edition number and the total number of editions printed. For example: 20/100.
Each limited-edition work comes with a certificate of authenticity.

Collector’s Edition: are #1 - #10 and are reserved for collectors who are eager to acquire a low or exclusive edition number. These editions are sold at a set premium price and can be purchased at any time during the release.
First Edition: is the first-third of the total number of the edition (starting at edition #11) and is the base price of the set. The First Edition pricing is our best value and rewards collectors who get in early on a release.
Second Edition: starts after the first-third of the editions sell through, the pricing then increases to the second-third pricing.
Final Edition: starts after the second-third of the editions sell through, the pricing then increases to the final-third pricing.

“Hors Commerce” (HC) or "Hors de Commerse" (H/C) meaning “not for sale” in French, refers to prints that are not part of the numbered edition and are typically marked with “HC” on the bottom of the print. These pieces are created exclusively for exhibition displays or temporary public installations and may occasionally be used for promotional purposes or gifted by the artist. HC Editions are never made available for purchase as they fall entirely outside of the Limited Edition runs.
Definition:
Hors Commerce translates to "out of trade" or "not for sale".
Purpose:
These prints are often created as proofs, samples for galleries or dealers, or gifts from the artist.
Marking:
HC prints are usually marked with "HC" or "H/C" and signed by the artist, but they are not typically numbered like artist proofs (APs).
Value:
Despite their intended purpose, HC prints occasionally appear on the market and are highly sought after due to their rarity and the fact that they are essentially a "one-of-a-kind" print
